Bleach London is a brand I trust, having tried
their products the dye does not stain blonde or bleached hair which is great
news after the disaster I had to go through with Direction’s Dye.
My hair is bleached, and has an overall brown to blonde ombre effect.
I used a mixture of Bleach London's 'Bruised Violet' and conditioner to make the colour lighter but also to moisturise my hair whilst dying!
Left the Dye on for 15 minutes:
The Final result is this:
For nearly a year and a half I experimented
with Direction’s Turquoise shade, twice over my natural brown hair which
obviously meant that it turned out as a dark blue shade. After deciding to
bleach my hair, months(maybe even a year) after dying it, to get my desired ombre effect, it turned out
that the dye had actually stained my hair.
I bleached it at home to make my
hair blonde but the bleached ends became a bright green. In hope that the green
would leave i bleached it one more time but no, it didn’t want to go anywhere!
I then went to the hairdressers and bleached it for the third time, making the
colour an even brighter green.
I found this extremely strange because when
looking at my brown hair, there was not even a slight shade of blue neither did
anything wash out in the shower. But also the idea that it claims to wash out
after a couple of washes.
The only solution was cutting my hair, which
was very traumatic! Ahha
My hairdresser actually said that it is not the
first time this has happened to one of her client, a girl had used the pink
shade and had to bleach her hair more than 5 times in order to remove most of
it.
SunbeamsJess on youtube also used the same dye and cut her hair short, i can only guess that, that was the reason why.
Basically, this information is here to warn
those who want to use Directions Dye straight from the pot.... IT DOES NOT WASH
OUT!
